Add guards in the portal so they can scan and record patrols.
Guards are added in the portal by a manager. Once added, the guard receives their login credentials, downloads the free PatrolSync Guard app on their phone, and signs in to start scanning checkpoints. The whole process takes a few minutes.
Add a guard in the portal and get them set up on the app.
Managers add guards through the portal. Once the record is created, the guard just needs the app and their login details to get started.
Go to Guards in the portal
Sign in at portal.patrolsync.app and click Guards in the top navigation. Click the Add guard button to open the new guard form.
Enter the guard's details
Enter the guard's full name and their phone number. PatrolSync automatically generates a PIN when you save. On Pro, PatrolSync can send the PIN, app download link, and setup help by SMS so the guard can sign in straight away.
Assign the guard to a site
Select the site or sites this guard should be assigned to. This links their patrol activity to the correct site records. A guard can be assigned to multiple sites if needed — for example if they cover different locations across a week.
Save and share login details with the guard
Click Save to create the guard record. Their PIN is shown once in the portal, and Pro organisations can send it automatically by SMS. They will also need the site login QR code to complete sign-in — you can download this from the site in the portal and share it or print it for the guard.

Once a guard is set up in the portal, they need to download and sign in to the PatrolSync Guard app on their phone. The app is free and available on both iPhone and Android. See the guides below for the full download and login steps.
