Get the PatrolSync Guard app on iPhone or Android.
Guards use the PatrolSync Guard app to scan checkpoints and record patrols. It is free to download on both iPhone and Android and takes less than a minute to install. Once downloaded, guards sign in using the credentials their manager sets up for them.
Install the PatrolSync Guard app on your phone.
The process is the same whether you use an iPhone or Android. Search for the app by name, install it, and you are ready to sign in.
Open the App Store or Google Play
On an iPhone, open the App Store. On an Android device, open Google Play. Both are pre-installed on your phone and free to use.
Search for "PatrolSync Guard"
Tap the search bar and type PatrolSync Guard. The app is listed under that name. Make sure you are downloading the correct app — it is published by PatrolSync.
Tap Get or Install
On iPhone tap Get, then confirm with your Face ID, Touch ID, or Apple ID password if prompted. On Android tap Install. The app is free — you will not be charged.
Open the app and allow permissions
Once installed, tap Open. The app will ask for permission to use your camera (for scanning QR codes) and your location. Both are required for PatrolSync to work correctly — tap Allow for each.
Keep the app updated and permissions enabled.
The app works best when it is up to date and has the permissions it needs. Both camera access and location access must be enabled for checkpoint scanning to work reliably.
Next step: sign in and start patrolling.
Once the app is installed, the next step is signing in with the credentials your manager has set up for you.
