Set up your Brother label printer on Mac for consistent checkpoint printing.
A clean Mac printer setup makes PatrolSync checkpoint printing faster, more reliable, and easier to repeat across future sites. The goal is simple: correct page size, no scaling, and sharp QR output every time.
Create a Mac printing setup you can repeat across every site.
Once your Mac printer settings are configured properly, printing new checkpoints becomes fast and consistent. Keep the process simple and use the same settings every time.
1. Install the Brother printer driver
Install the recommended Brother printer driver for your model on your Mac before trying to print PatrolSync checkpoints. This helps ensure page sizing and output behave consistently.
2. Add the printer in macOS
Open your Mac printer settings, add the Brother printer, and confirm it is available as a normal printer before moving on to label size setup.
3. Set the page size to 62 × 62 mm
Create or select a 62 × 62 mm page size so PatrolSync checkpoints print at the correct size. Do not rely on automatic page sizing.
4. Turn scaling off
Make sure scaling is disabled before printing. PatrolSync checkpoints should print at their intended size without fitting, shrinking, or stretching.
Most checkpoint print problems come from the wrong page size or scaling settings.
If a PatrolSync checkpoint does not look right when printed from your Mac, check page size and scaling first. In most cases, those two settings are the cause.
Continue with label sizing or Windows setup guidance.
Once your Mac printer is configured correctly, checkpoint printing should stay repeatable. Use the guides below if you also need label sizing help or Windows setup instructions.
